Fife Acute Hospitals NHS Trust was created on 1 April 1999 following the re-organisation of NHS Trusts in Scotland. It was formed by the amalgamation of Kirkcaldy Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Queen Margaret Hospital NHS Trust.
