A celebration of Scotland in song, music and dance Dancing Forth – the Scottish Show, will once again be presented by the members of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) Edinburgh Branch, sharing the breathtaking beauty of Scotland through it’s song, music and dance. At each Festival since 1956 a unique performance has been created and presented to packed audiences. This year the dazzling show will be choreographed by Stewart Adam from Edinburgh. The dance team have already started rehearsing for the week long run of exhilarating performances. The intricate dances and the songs have been chosen to celebrate the people, places, pastimes and produce of Scotland and the Islands. From the famous musicians of the 19th century to the Hebridean weavers who produce the world famous Harris Tweed today, the rich wealth of culture and tradition reaches out to you throughout this fabulous performance. Joining our award-winning dancers are renowned fiddlers Pete Clark and Keith Smith along with celebrated cellist Wendy Weatherby and previous Scottish Young Traditional Musician of the Year Siobhan Miller along with Scottish actor Sean Kane.
