Dance Scottish (Visit this link)

Scottish dancing launches afresh in Edinburgh - This autumn, the Edinburgh Branch of the RSCDS launches a new set of Scottish dancing classes including Beginners “Country and Ceilidh” in Newington, Duddingston and Stockbridge. With the nights drawing in and St Andrew’s Day fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to learn a dancing step or two ready for all those festivities. Scottish dancing has always been popular in Auld Reekie and the Branch, a local charity, has been offering dance classes to everyone, catering for complete beginners, to those who ‘just did it at school’, to people who have been dancing their whole lives. The best thing about the classes is you don’t need a partner, simply turn up and join in the fun. “It’s a great way to stay fit”, says beginner John Barnstead, “and the music and other dancers make the classes great fun”. So why not give the fun, fitness and friendship a try. More details are on our website: www.rscdsedinburgh.org
